  • Yes! Chiropractic care is gentle and safe for people of all ages. Dr. McKenzi uses a variety of techniques, including hands-on adjustments, instrument-assisted tools like the Activator or Arthrostim, and soft tissue techniques, allowing us to adjust to your comfort level.

  • An adjustment should not typically hurt. Some patients may feel mild soreness afterward, similar to how your muscles feel after a workout—especially after your first adjustment. Remember, it took time to get to where you are now, and it will take a little time to work through the layers and help your body fully heal.

  • The “popping” or “cracking” sound is scientifically known as a cavitation. It occurs when gas is released from the joints, similar to when you crack your knuckles. Some adjustments may make a popping noise, while others may not—either way, the adjustment is still working to improve joint mobility and support nervous system function.

  • Not at all! How long you choose to receive chiropractic care is completely up to you. Some patients come in for short-term relief, while others continue regular visits to support their lifestyle, prevent future issues, and maintain overall wellness. Dr. McKenzi will provide recommendations based on your goals and progress, but you’re in control of your care every step of the way.

  • The frequency of visits depends on your health goals, current condition, and how your body responds to care. Some patients start with more frequent visits to address pain or injury, while others come in periodically for wellness and maintenance. Dr. McKenzi will provide personalized recommendations, and we’ll reassess your progress along the way to make sure your care continues to meet your needs. You always have the flexibility to choose what works best for your schedule and lifestyle.

  • We are not in-network with insurance, which allows us to provide personalized, high-quality care without restrictions or limitations. However, we do accept Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), and we’re happy to provide you with a superbill if you'd like to submit for possible reimbursement on your own.
